I have received a set of Keihin PJ38mm carbs from Leigh (UK), along with carb manifolds (stamped NF5G) which have the holes elongated... in order to straight fit on a Nsr250 crankcase.
I temporarily bolted them on the mc28 crankcases to check for any clearance problems.
They look sweet though they have quite a few drawbacks compared to OEM downdraft carbs that I will have to solve prior getting any serious power up from them.
Possible mods: shortening the intake side, construction of a elliptical profile bellmouth, construction and fitting of an externally adjustable powerjet and whatever shows up during the whole process.
