Two Stroke Racelab

Τελείωσε άλλη μια υπέροχη Κυριακάτικη βόλτα με αρκετά ωραίους δρόμους, εναλλαγές τοπίων και καλή παρέα. Συνολικά 10 διχρονάκια και 3 ακόμη φίλοι με τετράχρονα.  Απο όλα είχε ο μπαξές... Rd350lc, 2x tdr250, 3x nsr250, 2x tzr250, Rgv250 και Rs250.  Ευχαριστώ όλους τους φίλους για τη καλή παρέα και εις το επανειδήν.  Σε δύο βδομάδες ραντεβού στα Μέγαρα... 

I think everything is starting to fall into place with AR PGM units and it seems like the repair of faulty units gets easier with time.  Thanks to the valuable help from Shaun(UK) aka Active Rascal from the Crm250 forum  on wiring colors and corresponding pins on PGM plugs, testing the unit after the repair is now super easy and leaves no doubts. Sadly, prior this info I had my first failure on a AR unit about a month back though I'm waiting it to be sent back and hopefully repair for sure this time...  The below unit belongs to Derek(UK), repaired and already posted.   Thanks to all 2strokers that trust my services. 

Βολτίτσα αυτή τη Κυριακή με τελική κατεύθυνση το Λουτράκι. Τόπος συνάντησης : Στο "Περίπτερο" Χαϊδαρίου, καφετέρια η οποία βρίσκεται πάνω στην Λ. Αθηνών-Καβάλας. Είναι λίγο μετά τη γέφυρα του Σχιστού και πριν τη λιμνοθάλασσα του Ασπρόπυργου (ρεύμα προς Κόρινθο). Κρατήστε δεξιά λωρίδα και αποκλείεται να το χάσετε.  Ώρα:    Κυριακή 28 Αυγούστου, στις 10:00 το πρωϊ, σβήνουμε το τελευταίο τσιγάρο και αποχωρούμε απο το "Περίπτερο".  Διαδρομή:  Αθήνα-Λουτράκι (μέσω Ψάθας) Στο "Περίπτερο" φτάνουμε έχοντας ήδη προνοήσει να γεμίσουμε τεπόζιτο. Τη διαδρομή την έφτιαξε ο Βασίλης aka Broken Piston   και φαίνεται πολύ όμορφη. Το κομμάτι της Εθνικής είναι πολύ μικρό και βγαίνουμε γρήγορα στη παλαιά εθνική Αθηνών-Θήβας με κατεύθυνση προς Οινόη. Στρίβουμε αριστερά προς Παλαιοχώρι και καταλήγουμε στη Ψάθα, απο όπου συνεχίζουμε παραλιακά και μέσω Σχίνου, Περαχώρας κλπ., καταλήγουμε στο Λουτράκι.  Λογικά το καφεδάκι μας θα το πιούμε στη γνωστή καφετέρια μ

Externally adjustable powerjet kits are now available for sale through the online store   and ebay.   A great addon for all two stroke carburetors running either on gas or alcohol fuels. The kit consists of : one externally adjustable powerjet, two brass barbs (one for the power jet and another one for the carb bowl) and a top quality purple silicon hose. T o fit the kit, you are going to need a 4mm drill and a M5x0.8mm tap.  Instructions are not included (at least not for now) but I can help with any questions you may have and supply a couple photos. I have fitted them on many carbs over the past years but I only have photos with the final product and not the installation procedure, I will try to make some instructions asap. Power jet is really necessary for a two stroke engine as you can fine tune the mid rpms at a far more exact range thus improving throttle response and when at top rpms, the power jet kicks in to supply the extra fuel needed by the engine. Claudio Castiglioni has passed away on 17th August in Varese, Italy. He is the man behind many MV Agusta, Cagiva, Ducati and Husqvarna bikes, a great designer that elevated the Italian motorcycle industry.  On the left of the photo is Massimo Tamburini, Claudio Castiglioni on the right.  A John Konciski Laguna winning 500 bike on display in Castiglioni's dining room. 

Digging the old photos again... a Scramble race on sand track that took part in Plastira Lake in Greece. I reckon it's about 5 years back, a nice race with many participants including some international ones.

Spent a couple hours fitting a MC18 radiator on my Tzr250.  It's a tight fit on stock ferings but doable.  Hose routing might be a little bit tricky but no problems with a few spare water hoses on hand.  Comparing the two radiators, the mc18 handles more water, has bigger dimensions and a thicker core. 

While digging in my photo albums, I found out some pics of a race in Greece at Megara Circuit.  I reckon it should have taken place at about 2007 but I can't tell for sure. Quite a few 2stroke machines in the grid.
